Only minor issues: - no easily accessible power plugs in the bedroom, maybe cause of the twin beds, it was hard to find but it was right at the bottom under the beds. Even if it's king bed, the location of the plugs are not great as it's not at the side table level, so the cables probably can't reach the table and you don't want to be crawling on floor level to plug in your phone charger etc.

But you can charge it at the big desk outside. Easy to push it back into position. Will definitely stay at The Como again. True 4. Lovely rooms and friendly team. Reasonably priced for the area. Happy to stay again and recommend if you like to be a bit outside the CBD. We stay at he Como frequently and that is for good reason. It is close to some great restaurants and bars on Chapel St and the ambiance at the hotel is very chilled.

Nice touch by the General manager to have a glass of sparkling on a arrival. Will be back again soon! The Como is the one hotel that I seem to consistently rate highly. The location and facilities are great. However, what always stands out is the warmth and courtesy of the team. The Como is our preferred hotel in Melbourne and we will stay there whenever logistics allow. We had a large room with plenty of space. Only disappointment was no restaurant on site. Breakfast dining somewhat crowded.

Staff where very helpful. Perfect location to catch tram into city to see a show. The staff at The Como went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay.

We notified the hotel of my birthday celebrations and where gifted with a bottle of bubbles, cake and decorations. The hotel itself is a little hidden gem in the restaurant end of chapel street. Great location, comfortable bed, amazing corner bath. We will be staying again.

A few days before our arrival I received a call from the hotel and one of the questions asked was if it was for a special occasion. I told the staff member that it was our wedding anniversary. On arrival we were delighted that we had been upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. The suite was just tremendous, so roomy and luxurious and to top it of there was a complmentary cheese platter, a bottle of wine and some chocolates.

Talk about being spoiled. We went to see an early movie and went to dinner at one of the many local restaurants. Next morning breakfast was served in the hotel's restaurant and it did not disappoint. Very, very nice. We will be back, that's for sure. We stayed at this hotel during a business trip to Melbourne and then extended our stay to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were very happy with our stay and will make The Como our preferred hotel when visiting Melbourne we have already booked another stay in a few weeks.

I had a few surprises for my wife and the team accommodated every request with a smile. The only negatives are the small pool and the somewhat cramped breakfast area. However, the many other comforts make up for these. This was a great way to spend a couple of days in Melbourne.

The welcome we received by the staff was exceptional. The hotel was well presented and had a lovely old world charm about it. Our room was fantastic, spacious and with the added surprise of a bottle of sparkling and chocolates, as well as a welcome message.

The bar, although not busy was also great. Our barman organised great drinks, a romantic meal and excellent service. The food was really good, especially the lamb pie. The hotel was really quiet, never hearing noise from other guests. We would definitely stay here again. Special mention to the staff again- they are a real credit to your hotel. Our battery was flat on our departure, but they managed to get us going and it was never a problem.

This was our second night at the Como. The check experience was amazing as usual. There was systems issues but the staff were very professional and kept us informed throughout the process. This is the complete opposite of what goes on in the night.

Our room service order placed at 10 pm didn't arrive. Asked the front desk for assistance and apparently there was no order logged and the kitchen staff have left for the day. The night option menu was offered complimentary but the staff didn't know if there was dairy in the requested dishes or what the pie of the day was. After placing the order again, I called the front desk and spoke with the night manager to find out what was going on at the property. He was unable to identify who took our initial order at 10 pm as he does not usually work at the property.

I asked if our checkout time could be extended as it was already 12am and we are still waiting for food. He said he could till 1 pm which we confirmed as satisfactory. We were quickly offered the complimentary night menu again. Unfortunately they didnt know what we had ordered so he passed the phone to his colleague who took the order and he didn't know what it was either and said we can offer you complimentary drinks as well, how about a bottle of wine?

At 1 am? I declined both offers. Got some uber eats which turned out be fantastic and arrived in 30 mins. The morning staff then call at 12pm to ask if we needed help with our luggage, so here I am waking up and having to explain that it was extended to 1pm by the night manager. This experience has been an absolute insult to the Sofitel brand. I hope they take a serious review into consideration because I know this is not the standard that Accor maintains. Service at this hotel is exceptional!

From checking in to checking out and everything in between. Staff are extremely professional and helpful. Small touches in the hotel room makes this one of the most amazing stays!
