Boeing 777 how many seats

The other issue is the proximity to the galley, as the light overflow affects your viewing the screen of the entertainment options.

We fly this route 3 - 4 times a year, and you would think they would honor the reservations of Gold passengers. Instead, into our seats they placed a dad and his 3 year old son. I can only believe United thought it more prudent to seat a higher ranked passenger in our full-fare seats. Very disappointing seat. Here's the problems: a. No full-size overhead bin b.

Right next to the galley, where the lights stay on all night, and the attendants gather to converse and laugh with one another c. Even with earplugs, the engine noise makes sleep all but a wonderful daydream. Since this row is the first one with 2 seats instead of 3 due to the curvature of the plane, there was extra storage and as much legroom as an economy plus seat! Suggest avoiding this aircraft if at all possible. The seats are so narrow that your elbows will be jostling folks two seats away.

The Seatguru designation is Will think twice about another UA flight unless they can keep the width north of 18 inches. Both 48A and 48L have slightly extra legroom due to the curvature at the back end of the aircraft. The seats are arranged in a slight angle compared to row 47; thus, the window seats have a bit more legroom.

However, the new seats have terrible lower back support and very little recline. Where the plane goes from 3 seats wide to 2 seats wide is decent seats at the back of the bus.

Extra room towards the isle and more storage near the fuselage. Too much light and activity from galley. Do NOT recommend this seat, nor 4L for the same reason.

United has really hit a new low with its 10 across seating on the s. Seats were cramped, I could barely get out of the seat and the guy sitting next to me was so close he elbowed me the entire flight and there is no way the pitch between seats was up to the standards of a premium economy seat. Really awful, but I have some to expect the absolute worst from United. With six of us traveling together, we decided to pick 3 rows of paired seats at the back, rather than 2 rows of 3 seats. This prevented anyone in our group from having to suffer with a middle seat.

Plus, as other commenters have noted, there is some extra storage space between the seat and the bulkhead. This freed up additional foot room. And the person in the aisle was able to extend one foot in the aisle without impeding carts or traffic. The one drawback was that extra space between the seat and the bulkhead prevented me from resting my head against the wall for sleep. With the little extra space for no extra cost, we would gladly choose these seats again.

This was the first time flying on the Domestic and i found it quite comfy with the new layout. Yes its a bit tight when it comes to shoulder space but nothing major. PROS: No one behind you, a few steps away from the restrooms, plenty of legroom, plugs, and their new device storage clamps. Cons: People will congregate behind your seat while they wait for the bathroom, flight attendants run into your seat with the carts.

Not as crowded since it is a 2 seat row. Near the rear of the plane. Extra room from aisle is good. Not many bumps from passengers walking in aisle. This is a great seat. Extra leg room, and extra space in both thr aisle and next to the window. It should be noted that the lie flat seats in First class offer no underseat storage, only overhead bins.

First time flying united in first to Hawaii. I specifically picked this plane to try out these new seats. I do have to say that United has done a good job. Seats 4b and 4c are nearest the galley but that was not an issue, I was in 3B next to the window.

The only problem I see is yes you do have to straddle the aisle seat customer. If you have a considerate customer it works well if not, well you just have to manage. Son was in window seat in row 4, great lie flat seat. As for me I was in row 3 window.. I laid down no problem. The cushions are comfotable, they provide a nice blanket and a regular size bed pillow, not a small airline pillow. They also provide nice earphones, although I always bring my bose noise cancelling. The food was good, as this was a morning flight from LAX, we had 3 choices.

Ann egg quiche, egg type omelet and Raisan Bran. I had the egg quiche The best part is that United expressed that passengers only use their restroom facilites in their cabin they purchased. This avoids small children etc.. Other airlines seem not to enforce that I would fly United again!!!! Overhead bin is reserved for safety equipment, so you must hope to be able to share bin for next row s forward. Otherwise, despite the existence of a lav for 1st class, it is frequently blocked by cabin crew activity or cockpit crew use, and one is asked to use coach lav.

Although it is close-by, as a usual coach traveler, that's annoying. Does the discomfort and compromised privacy really buy the airline that many additional seats?

Arm rests were too narrow for 2 person side by side, and the location of buttons on top of the armrest light, call attendance and cancel call attendance was very annoying as it is very easy to accidentally push one or more buttons. My seat was amazing! Very spacious and seat was comfy. United offered a wide variety of new and old movies and TV shows for the flight and that kept me occupied the entire time. I had two meals on the flight, breakfast and lunch.

Both were great but for lunch since I was at the back of first class they only had calzone left, so I was stuck with that option. We also weren't offered any snacks during the flight but I was fine because the meals filled me up. The flight attendants were very nice and walked around quite a few times to see if I needed anything. The one thing that I felt was difficult about first class was that if you needed to get to the aisle by passing the person in the seat closest to the aisle, you almost needed to step over the seat if the foot rest was obstructing the space you walked in to get to the aisle.

If you weren't able to step over the foot rest than you would have to ask that person to lower the footrest for you to get to the aisle. Other than that, flight was very good. This seat can directly see into the galley next to it, so the light and noise from galley is still bothersome, and there are no B seats, only A seats along the left windows. The former was tolerable for long haul flights, but unless you are sitting next to an unusually small person, the compactness of the seats makes the journey totally MISERABLE.

Then there are only 2 outlets for the 3 seats, so it's first come first plugged in. Also to add to the misery of this flight, the WiFi for personal device entertainment would just stop, then the spinning wheel.

I agree with previous comments that because of the location of the call button, the aircraft has a life-safety issue. The call buttons are constantly going off. The cabin crew said "if you have a real emergency, press the button twice" but it's going off so frequently that therein no way to know if it's two random chimes from two of the passengers or one person ringing twice.

Row 47, seats A to C and J to L, have immovable arm rests. This is a big downside. I just barely fit the width of the seat was so narrow. I have never seen a seat this narrow in all my flying days.

I can't imagine what the regular economy seat is like. Any smaller and we'll all have to buy first class. Really enjoyed this seat. Once you get over the strain on your midsection from taking off backwards, there were no other issues. With the wall separating the seats, you didn't see the person you were facing, just the people in the middle of row four. The entertainment system worked great. They had trouble in economy on my flight. This was the version of the plane we had for a nonstop from Houston to Honolulu.

My wife and I took 48K and 48L so we'd have a window and aisle and be by ourselves. The electronics box was behind 47J so it wasn't in my way and it was nice to have an extra seat try to store trash and stuff. The only downside is that since the aisle is wider, people kept bringing their crying babies back there to walk them around.

Terrible seats! I've sat on other airlines' 10 abreast 's and they are awful too, but this one was by far the worst. Thankfully it was only on a 2. I haven't sat in a seat that narrow before, and the arm rests were a joke - an inch wide at best. United also changed our flight from the more comfortable and older to this The seats are hard and recline is virtually non-existent.

The internet on my flight was reliable, but likely due to the number of people sleeping and not using the service. We were economy plus and wished we would have taken the opportunity to move all the way back to the 2 seat configuration in the back of the plane. We were advised by the United to not give up the economy plus - so I wonder often how bad those seats are. United uses these aircrafts for heavy domestic routes from its hubs.

I agree with all of the other previous comments that the seats in this aircraft are way too narrow. The slimline seats are also uncomfortable, and after about 4 hours into the 6 hour flight from BOS-SFO, the seat started to feel uncomfortable. Originally when we booked the flight, it showed a configuration. But, when we checked in, it had changed to a configuration. I would recommend avoiding 's on United domestic routes at all costs, unless it shows a comfortable configuration.

Booked a 9 across and found myself on this. Awful configuration with very narrow seats and narrow aisles. A plane to avoid, even in Economy Plus. Really, just avoid it. For the last few months United has been swapping the 9-across and across s, often not telling anyone until the last minute in one case not until boarding started , causing unexpected seat changes.

Seats are very narrow plus armrest is only an inch wide. I spent the 4-hour flight with my shoulders constantly pinned against my neighbor and the wall. Avoid the aircraft if you can. Avoid this plane if any possible. It's just too narrow. I was fine as a female, but if I were a man with broader shoulders those flat beds would've been less than ideal for trying to lie down. I like Global First and find the flat bed seats quite comfortable. Slept 10 hours to Sydney and 8 hours to Los Angeles.

The service was excellent and the food was very good. Lots of storage space in the overhead bins and in the suite. Do not think there is a major difference in any of the eight seats in GF; the left port side is served first, and the overhead bins are not quite as high above the window seats. The only light that bothered me was the reading light in the seat across from me - that passenger read most of the flight from Sydney to Los Angeles.

United is beginning to reconfigure some of their s to a domestic configuration. Soon there will be fewer, if any, Global First seats. Hopefully the domestic version will be better than the Hawaii version of their I was lucky enough to get upgraded to this seat, and it was a great flight.

The crew was extremely helpful, and really went out of their way for you. The screen is excellent, and the seats recline to whatever position you like, and even offer a back massage to get your blood flowing! I was able to get a few hours of sleep on the lie-flat position, and was offered breakfast as soon as I woke up.

The amenities kit offered is very nice, and the pillow is great. These seats also come with excellent noise-cancelling headphones. Only minor remarks are that if you get an isle seat, occasionally your neighbor will need to step in front of your screen to get to the restroom or overhead storage compartment. Dito for the flight attendants passing food or drinks to your neighbor my neighbor was clearly annoyed by this, but he seemed annoyed by a lot of things.

But seriously, are you going to let a few seconds on a 7 hour flight ruin this great way of flying for you? If so, you have bigger problems than your seat selection Whoever flew Business First in this configuration and commented "It's almost like sitting in Economy Plus", has clearly never done a long haul flight in economy, or has forgotten about it Yes, you don't have infinite width or privacy in these seats, but can you really expect that in times where ecological measures need to be taken?

Don't forget that nowadays, flying even in business costs a fraction of what it used to. The flight was so empty, I had all 3 seats to myself. The biggest downside is that the armrests do not raise up at all, so I was unable to stretch out.

There is indeed a missing window. The storage locker for the slide buts slightly into the leg room of 33A, which is unfortunate, but bearable. Definitely B or C is the better option for exit row seating on this plane. The restrooms are right next to you, so you get interrupted all night. The right side of the aircraft does not have restrooms, so that side of the aircraft is definitely better. Overall, I was happy, but I have had a far better exit row experience with other airlines, definitely Virgin Atlantic for the best exit row seating.

You end up staring into the economy plus cabin, which can be nice and awkward. United installed curtains, but they are see-thru and useless.

Considering these planes are used for long haul flights, the lack of some privacy can be frustrating. And you are very close to the "neighbor" sitting next to you. Very annoying! I have found the seat and leg room to be excellent, it is nicer to be able to stretch your legs at times. I would recommend this area to anyone. Rows 29 and 30 DEG are crew rest seats. They have virtually unlimited legroom, leg rests, extra cushioned seats, and extra recline.

They should be marked as green, as they are some of the best seats when they're available in economy plus. Econ plus seat felt as if sitting straight upright even when seat was tilted back. Legroom ok I am 64 inches tall. United was moving equipment around and instead of the Hawaii we got the international.

Decent blanket and pillow, the amenity kit was very cool. Even had a pair of socks in it. Great entertainment system with headphones. The seats face backward and your staring at the galley, but it didn't bother me.

Sitting backwards on an airplane is no big deal. You can't even feel it. I'm 6'0 and couldn't get comfortable laying flat but the recline is awesome and I fell asleep. Nice flight from Chicago to Oahu. Wish UA would use this plane more often to Hawaii.

Big difference. I now see why United is rated the worst international carrier for business class service. This seat that I was in for business class was awful. The person next to me, though very polite and apologetic, had a bladder the size of pea and had to continually step over my seat when I was trying to sleep. I even offered to switch seats but she declined. Due to the fact this flight was a code share with Lufthansa, when I booked the flight with Lufthansa, I assume responsibility for flying on this flight.

The seat is smaller than most other international airlines and sacrifices comfort for a I have never been a fan of United and this just confirmed my past thoughts as opposed to redeeming itself. The airline prefers to squeezes much out of it's aircraft at the expense of the passengers comfort. Just as every United long haul flight, the FAs lack common decency. They have absolutely no respect for any of their passengers, including first, business, and economy cabin. In first, the FAs may lean and bend down more than they do in economy when serving you but that's it.

Most of them HATE to go out of their way to accommodate a simple request. The only joy the FAs have is joking and laughing among themselves only. Do yourself a favor and fly All Nippon Airways on their beautiful aircraft. The seats in all classes are excellent. The service is amazing in all classes. The Japanese FAs are extremely polite, professional, and well spoken. The overall cabin atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing.

I promise you won't regret it It wasn't pleasant for a 9 hour international flight. One of the most comfortable 7 hours flight I had. Wide seat with good legroom making the journey much more bearable. Have seen many comments claiming that these seats are narrow because of the configuration.

In addition, what are people exactly complaining about? The seats lie flat. You get a decent blanket, a pillow that acutally has some density to it, a very nice meal, attentive service, a large screen to watch or more movies or TV episodes. To claim that you're in a prison is absurd. Try the last row of economy, next to the window with two people next to you who are asleep. That's prison. Plane was quiet and the flat bed was very useful on this 10hr flight.

My only complaint is that the BusinessFirst seats are very narrow. Almost as narrow as coach! If you fly BusinessFirst i recomend you upgrade to Global First. Please stop this Business United. They seem more private and escape the glare from the galley that seats in row 1 might have.

I urge folks traveling to accept the foam mattress that is added when they offer to make the seat up for you. It makes the sleeping very comfortable! I've read plaudits and criticisms of this business first seating arrangement. It's ok if you are flying with a relative, as you're close together and it's easy to converse. However, unlsss you have an aisle seat, climbing over your neighbour is a pain and an imposition. I weigh lb and have a broad frame, and I could not lay flat on my back or stomach as the bed is not wide enough.

Overall, I prefer the angled seat arrangements which other airlines use. Your mileage may vary Proximity to the galley is actually very bothersome, especially when the crew enjoys a good laugh while you are trying to sleep. Rear-facing seat, aligned with the Economy Plus aisle. Not much privacy -- you're practically on display for the forward-facing Economy Plus section. This seat should almost be a green. I flew This seat reclines. There is a feeling of more space to the right since no rows there.

Not a whole lot to complain about the usual bumps from the aisle, nor the close lavs. Only minus for me, the light coming from the galley, not dimmed. Business Class seats on this flight are very uncomfortable due to the narrowness of the seats. This seat facing the galley does tend to be noisy and the lights in the galley make it hard to sleep. Service is also mediocore at best.

I found the business section of this aircraft to be uncomfortable in that: 1 the seat was narrow and confining; 2 there are 8 seats across which is why the seats are narrow - 4 seats across in the middle and 2 across from them on each side of the aisle. I can't imagine anyone paying for a business class ticket to be stuck in a middle seat; 3 with alternating rows facing opposite directions it was very uncomfortable to be looking at someone face to face across the aisle.

I'm thankful this was a domestic flight and not international. I wouldn't have been able to be comfortable on a long haul flight.

They're also good seats if traveling with someone. When alone you'll get to know the other person very well since the seats are so narrow and so close to each other. My preferred choice is the with 2 cabins - the business first cabin has 5 seats across instead of 8 therefore giving more room to breath and enjoy a long haul flight. As others have mentioned, 33H is NOT a good seat for comfort. In addition to having people step on your feet I lost count after 10x on my particular flight the seat didn't recline.

I'd take the window anyday Food is mostly curry or lamb. Breakfast is a terrible tasteless omlet. Please United improve the food. Terrible seat. People will mill about in the space in front of you and at night every time someone uses the rest rooms at night a bright light shines in your face and wakes you up. I went from rome to washington dc in business class in july.

The seat was very comfy as with economy the seats are rough and hard with no legroom or seat width. The lie flat bed was great and comfy as i am 5 feet so i had extra leg space.

The only con is that when you are in lie flat position,it is hard to see the tv and that is my only con. But all in all,They are great seats that were comfy and great. Despite how it looks on the map, there is a wall directly in front of all the seats in row 20, so there is not significantly more legroom than in the normal Econ Plus seats - plus you get no under-seat storage in front of you, as there is no seat in front of you.

For the same reason, the video screen is on a weird extending arm which is very annoying. I do not recommend row For wonderful legroom this seat is indeed great but you do get the feeling of jutting out into the passageway and all through the flight my seat was constantly banged into by either service trollies or other passengers.

Never again especially on a long haul flight. Plus since it doesn't always fill up, you are more likely to get an empty middle seat next to you which is great! The galley noise is really noticeable from this row and occurs throughout the flight. The bathrooms weren't actually much of a problem since there is hardly a queue. I could basically watch what the person next to me was watching which was a problem because it was a horror film!

The lie-flat beds were nice, but that noise was distracting. The GlobalFirst seats are terrific--lots of storage compartments. However, best to avoid seat 1C, which directly looks into the part of the galley space that had no curtain and bright lights.

No other seat had this problem. Firstly, this is the worst business class cabin I have ever seen. They have 8 seats per row, which makes the seats narrow and very uncomfortable.

There is no space for anything. And if you are in one of these back facing window like 8K, it seems that you are in a jail. I will try not to fly this is so called "cramped" economy modeled business class of United. The bathroom arrangements on this plane are totally inadequate for a 14 hour journey with people - just 4 toilets. Plus the bathrooms are not replenished or cleaned so running out of toilet paper is common.

This is so bad an arrangement I will actively look to fly a competitor airline to avoid it. This seat has a cold air drift that hits the your face and head. Although this seat is classified as a "middle" seat, it is on the aisle due to the two person row. You have use of the underseat of 30H as well. Limited recline did not bother us due to the economy plus space, minimal disruption from restroom users.

Nice for two people travelling together. The windows are misaligned so don't plan on peering out. Worst of all was facing the economy seats having their camparatively limited meals while we were "enjoying" our five course dinner and much more "sumptuous" breakfast while the economy seat passengers were staring at us through an open-mesh curtain!

It was closed but totally see-through. Very uncomfortable! Also, my companion could not lay flat because the seats were not wide enough to accomodate his shoulders. I would not pay business fare for these seats again.

All the business class seats on this aircraft are poor for two reasons: 1 Lie flat is not long enough for me 6' 3" and there is not enough room to put your feet - space is too narrow. The overhead reading light is extremely dim while the extra reading light in back of the seat illuminates just that - the back of the seat and shines light on what you are reading if you are lying flat.

That is hardly conducive for working. That second light serves as much use as a human appendix. What was UA thinking? Finally, the seat recline is not completely independent of the foot rest so it is impossible to recline appreciably while still having your feet on the floor.

Together this translates into a poor design. Shame on you United. Worth the upgrade to Economy Plus. There's no seat in front of you, so you won't be cramped at all. Perfect for tall people like me. Sometimes, the attendants would bump into me, but I didn't care. Best hour flight ever! In flat bed position, I found the head rest somewhat uncomfortable; it is hard, narrow, and not very movable. But I did get hours of sleep.

Also, in row 6, the engine noise is quite noticeable. Seat 1 A is a standard First Class seat at a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed.

Seat 1 C is a standard First Class seat at a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 1 H is a standard First Class seat at a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 1 K is a standard First Class seat at a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 10 A is a standard Business Class seat facing a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed.

Seat 10 B is a standard Business Class seat facing a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 10 C is a standard Business Class seat that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 10 D is a standard Business Class seat that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 10 G is a standard Business Class seat that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 10 H is a standard Business Class seat that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 10 J is a standard Business Class seat facing a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed.

Seat 10 K is a standard Business Class seat facing a bulkhead that transforms into a fully flat bed. Seat 19 D may have restricted legroom due to the position of the Bulkhead.

Seat 19 E may have restricted legroom due to the position of the Bulkhead. Seat 19 G may have restricted legroom due to the position of the Bulkhead.

You can also sit back and relax in our refreshed Economy Class cabin. Enjoy our new seat cover designs and leather headrests. And stay entertained throughout your flight with over 4, channels, hundreds of new movies and music channels every month.
