Mixed: 4 out of 9. Negative: 4 out of 9. When you're not wrestling with its cumbersome online machinations, Deadliest Warrior: Legends is an absolute treat. Deadliest Warrior: Legends doesn't do anything to reinvent the fighting game genre, but it certainly does give it an interesting twist. Just remember, this is just a straight up simple fighting game…it does not pretend to be anything else. That is why it's so cool in its simplicity.
A casual beat-um up that can be played single player or local with a friend or online. Official Xbox Magazine. Deadliest Warrior's violent contests are mainly good only for amusement, as the shallow play mechanics and repetitive battles offer more laughs than longevity.
Deadliest Warrior: Legends may make you laugh for a little while, but its sloppy fighting is dead on arrival. An unpolished mess with few redeeming qualities other than a nifty premise. User Reviews. Write a Review. Positive: 5 out of 9.
Mixed: 2 out of 9. Negative: 2 out of 9. I just picked up this game because I enjoyed the first one so much. It was sooo much better than the first. Combat has moved in the direction I just picked up this game because I enjoyed the first one so much. Combat has moved in the direction of bushido blade.
Graphics are better and the arenas have pits and traps that make combat more exciting. I pushed someone into that pit from - that was great! Because of their desire for glory, Rajput warriors were masters of one-on-one fighting. They also developed many unique weapons to dispatch their foes.
Zande warriors filed their teeth to sharp points. This gave them a ferocious appearance. The Zande were very agile. They were adept at ducking and sidestepping attacks, as well as jumping over spears that were thrown at their legs.
Shaolin Kung Fu began as exercise, but was soon recognized as being effective on the battlefield. The addition of weapons to Shaolin Kung Fu, such as spears, iron staffs, and swords, was partly in response to raids from Japanese pirates.
During the Ming dynasty Shaolin were frequently called on to repel these invaders. Skirmish Mode: Select up to 4 warriors to fight in succession against each other. Warrior matchups consist of one round, with the loser being eliminated. The victor starts the next round with the same amount of health and any injuries they had at the end of the last round.
Poison and severed limbs also carry over to the next round, meaning that in some cases a round will quickly end with a warrior bleeding out. The first player to have all of their warriors defeated loses the battle. Deadliest Warrior features five play modes, customizable warrior, and true to life action with interactive environments. This is a unique fighting game that is easy to play and hard to master. The single player is nothing more than arcade mode and bonus stages in between.
The real meat of the game is just the thrill of playing it with your friends! The game also has some really fun limb hacking and decapitating to keep stuff fun. Yes, it isn't the most deep experince in the fighting game genre you can get, but it is just crazy and fast paced enough to keep your attention. With the amount of blood and gore and simple yet almost complex battle system, it is a fun game to play with your buddies. For a game about warriors you'll think that there would be a story mode.
But there's not, even though this game Is about historical For a game about warriors you'll think that there would be a story mode. But there's not, even though this game Is about historical characters. The game only have two different long range, close combat, and projectills these two different one's Is defult and unlockable. Same thing with outfits 1 defult and 1 unlockble.
If you played as all the characters you'll unlock a sightly fun challenge mode It's not really the best. But things I like about this game is it's gore, you can decapitate opps but It doesn't end their.
The ninja finisher is dry. If you press Y on the menu screen It'll give you bio's about the warriors and their weapons. You can go to extra and change the color of your warriors outfit but It's pretty dry. The animations aren't so good, this is minor but when the your character hoster their weapons the animation looks a bit goofy. You can only play In 4 stages. You can unlock a fifth stage but It looks lame like the other stages. Pros: Lots of blood and gore.
Fun mini games. Cons: Poor roster They didn't add the galdiator or the hun even though they were featured In the show before this game. Lack stages. Bad stage designs. Lame costumizations. Lack weapons. Lack outfits. No story or plot to a game about history It doesn't express It's historical characters. Even with the bio's so it lacks that too … Expand. This game works, there is no doubt about that, but really I just don't like the game, it's not because it's based on a show, I like the show, This game works, there is no doubt about that, but really I just don't like the game, it's not because it's based on a show, I like the show, it's just that this game is broken, it looks awful, some characters are completely and utterly useless.
I mean this was a poorly done clone of bushido blade, I saw potential in bushido blade, but this game isn't so much a step up as a leap backwards. I was looking forward to it a bit because I love fighting games, and am pretty competitive in SSFIV, but this game has taken 3D fighting to a whole new low. Of course complaining without reasons is trollish, so here are my reasons.
Please note I played the demo and watch multiple gameplay vids, and I played local MP and the "battle" mode. The characters are not balanced. Spartan can destroy anything with three-five swipes, while with Ninja it takes around six-seven. Dodging is very disorienting. I always have to pause literally to see where I just rolled to and which way I need to attack. Also a spartan having a dodge as fast as a Ninja is pretty weak. The long range attacks suck. I really can't say more than that, they are just the worst projectiles ever created.
