Drye, a student at the University of Georgia. Time and time again, the top achievers were being recruited right out of the classroom without ever setting foot in the Career Center. He returned to the University of Georgia to recruit other top students and during this process met Andrew and became acquainted with the University of Georgia Career Center.
Despite the many great services offered by the Career Center, the top students seemed to have limited interaction. Andrew and Rich decided to team up to start an organization that would solve this problem. The current program is designed to recognize academic achievement, campus leadership, extra-curricular activities, and community service. Those members affiliated with active chapters enjoy the formal presentation of these awards at their chapter's annual New Member Reception.

To be considered an active member, you must attend four meetings a year, two events, and one social. A special award is also presented to the most active member. Leadership positions include serving as a chapter officer, chairing a committee, designing student-led seminars, and organizing community service projects. As Head of Employer Relations, she wants to provide members with the information needed to better understand Delta Epsilon Iota.
Elizabeth Garcia is a second year Communication major with an emphasis in Public Relations. She knows we can make a difference by giving back to the community. Lauren is the Events Coordinator at the Career Center. As the Events Coordinator she develops, promotes and executes six major recruiting events per year, connecting students and alumni to industry and careers. For the past 12 years she has been dedicated to pursuing careers in customer service and prides herself as being a committed and diligent team player.
Lauren began her tenure at Cal Poly Pomona in , before joining the Career Center in she worked in Academic Affairs, coordinating successful departmental events and enhancing student development. Her extensive knowledge of the many facets of Career Centers in higher education is a valuable asset to Cal Poly Pomona.
